Residents and visitors alike, if you need help choosing your next date night, look no further.
A popular restaurant-focused software company and guide, OpenTable, has released the top 50 best hotel restaurants in Canada, and two of Victoria’s have made the list!

If you thought of the famous Fairmont Empress and the chic Courtney Room, you assumed correctly!
Enjoying tea at the Empress was specifically highlighted, as it’s a sought-after service, offering delectable bites and delicious tea blends served in elegant china.
The Courtney Room has won awards for its wine program, and is also known to serve expertly crafted cuisine.
Both suggest making reservations ahead of time, as the demand is said to be high—especially during tourist season.
Other restaurants that made the list include Braven in Edmonton, Rundle Bar in Banff, ATLAS fish + steak in Burnaby, Botanist in Vancouver, and many others.
Results were found in collaboration with KAYAK (a research engine for travel services), which highlights top spots derived from demand metrics, such as diner ratings, bookings made in advance and reviews.
