Are you ready to cycle for a good cause next month?

To raise awareness and funds for MS, a one-day cycling event will take place in Duncan on Saturday, August 9th.

The race will start and end at Queen Margaret’s School, with the long route tour starting at 10 a.m., and the short route tour beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Prior, the grounds will officially open at 8 a.m., and there will be a pancake breakfast served at 8:30 a.m. for anyone looking for a bite before the race.

Starting at 12:30, there will be a beer garden open, followed by a lunch served from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Here is a map of the route:

To register, participants must be at least 12-years-old, and those aged 12 to 16-years-old have to be accompanied by an adult.

Registration cost to race in August is $60.

Each individual must fundraise a minimum of $500, cyclists that don’t meet this goal will be unable to participate.

As incentive, there will be fundraising milestone rewards for those pledging, as well as resources and support for those that are concerned with the minimum amount needed.
