Hear the vintage engines roar!
Once again, Sidney is welcoming the Torque Masters for their annual Sidney Summer Car Show, taking place from Saturday, August 2nd to Sunday, August 3rd.
The weekend events will kick off with their Poker Run on Saturday at 1 p.m., which finishes up at 3:30 p.m. on 3rd Street for their block party and gathering of classic cars.
Local band Saxum will be there to entertain, and Beacon Brewery and Small Gods Brewery will be offering food and beverage options available for purchase.
Later that evening, the Star Cinema is offering a feature screening of Transformers. Entry is by cash donation or food item in support of the Saanich Peninsula Lions Food Bank.
The main event will take place on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., where they’re expecting over 300 dazzling classic and unique vehicles along Beacon Avenue.
There will also be a main stage, which will present audiences with a local band, The Haven, so you can jam to great music while you wander.
Of note, the organizers have moved their food vendors and midway booths to 4th Street North and South, which allows them to utilize all of Beacon Avenue for the cars.
And that’s not all! The Peninsula Celebrations Society will be featuring a band in the Amphitheatre at 2 p.m., and Small Gods Brewery will be offering tours of their facility!
Surrounding businesses will be open during the event, and everyone is encouraged to pop in and see what Sidney has to offer.
