A mental health crisis involving a 30-year-old man prompted what Campbell River RCMP a “significant” mental health crisis Sunday evening.
The incident occurred in the evening of July 6th in the 300 block of Crawford Road, when police were advised that a man’s behaviour had turned dangerous and threatening.
Police and emergency services responded to the area, and closed off a small section to take immediate action.
Police called out to the man, asking him to exit his home. The man came out and police were able to take him into custody, and then to the hospital without incident.
“The Campbell River RCMP are very thankful that this incident concluded peacefully,” said Cst Maury Tyre.
“We are also very appreciative for the cooperation of everyone in the area during the heightened police presence.”
