This Wednesday highlights the power of local performance, with multiple live music events happening, plus some of Victoria’s best rising comedians.

Don’t forget about Think Tank Trivia at Herald Street Brew Works! Battle other teams while sipping on craft beer.

Here’s 5 things to do in and around Victoria on Wednesday, July 23rd:

Pacific Opera Victoria: Open Air Series

Pacific Opera Victoria is once again presenting their Open Air: Opera in the Summer series, spanning from Friday, July 18th to Sunday, July 27th.

This event will feature both free and ticketed music events in and around Victoria, giving residents and visitors ample time to catch one of their incredible shows.

From July 22nd to 27th, Pacific Opera singers will be stationed in parks and surprise public spaces with free pop-up events, as well as mini-concerts.

Wednesday’s mini-concert will take place at Cedar Hill Recreation & Arts Centre, Earth Drums.

Trivia at Herald Street Brew Works

It’s time to show off all of that useless information you’ve got stored in your brain!

Grab your nerdiest pals and test your collective knowledge while enjoying a beer or two and some Pizzeria Prima Strada pizza.

It’s hosted by Think Tank Trivia, and allows up to six per team. No reservations!

Sip & Sing at The Coda

The Coda is hosting The Village Choir for their first Sip & Sing event!

This is a fun and casual evening that’s open to everyone, and is co-directed by Oliver Swain and Claire Butterfield.

No experience or sight-reading required! You’ll be learning “Summer of ’69” by Bryan Adams, all the while enjoying great company in a relaxed atmosphere.

Tickets are $18.

Free Celtic Folk Concert

Gather your family and friends and enjoy a free concert outdoors!

Caravan World Rhythms will be on stage at the Cameron Bandshell in Beacon Hill Park, featuring award-winning trio Inn Echo from PEI and members of the BC Fiddle Orchestra.

Following their performance, Montreal’s Slavic-Ukrainian band Dumai Dunai will be on stage at 6:45 p.m.

Phillips Comedy Night

Dim the lights and set the stage—Morgan Cranny and Drew Farrance have picked another great lineup for this Wednesday’s comedy night!
