Victoria’s beloved Oak Bay Tea Party is returning this week

Share

It’s time for tea yet again, Victoria!

Don’t miss the 63rd annual Oak Bay Tea Party, which has become a community favourite since its inception in 1962.

It will take place at Willows Beach from Friday, June 6th to Sunday, June 8th, with a variety of family-friendly activities, live performances, fair rides and much more.

Plus, the major highlight of the weekend will be the beloved annual Oak Bay Tea Party Parade on Saturday, June 7th at 10:30 a.m.

The parade starts at Windsor Park and winds through the streets of Oak Bay, ending at Willows Park about 45 minutes later.

Another key event is the Floating Tea Cup Race, which takes place on Sunday at 3 p.m., located at Willows Beach.

These life-size teacups are made of fibre glass and powered by mis-matched oars, making it incredibly challenging and even more interesting to watch!

Esquimalt Lions will be back providing the pancake breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Shooting Star Amusements power the fair rides, and wristbands are sold for $40, or $30 if purchased before Thursday, June 5th.

The annual event is not only an exciting time for the community, it also helps non-profit organizations, such as the Kiwanis and Lions, raise funds for their many community projects.
