After a five-game road trip to kick off the 2025 campaign, the Victoria HarbourCats are finally coming home—and they’re bringing the party with them.
The team, now 3-2 on the season, will play their first home series of the year this weekend at Wilson’s Group Stadium at Royal Athletic Park, hosting the Port Angeles Lefties for three games packed with entertainment on and off the field.
Opening night is Friday, June 6th, with first pitch at 6:35 p.m. and gates opening an hour prior. Fans will be welcomed with live music by Luke Lampard, a skydive entrance, and anthems sung by none other than Men Without Hats frontman Ivan Doroschuk.
The night is sponsored by Wilson’s Group of Companies, with Save-On-Foods running the 50/50 in support of BC Children’s Hospital. The game is also part of the Galaxy Motors Forces Friday series, offering special pricing for military personnel and first responders.
Saturday’s 6:35 p.m. matchup promises even more spectacle, highlighted by the first fireworks night of the season. The fan-favourite show will ignite shortly after the game concludes.
Sunday wraps the series with a 1 p.m. matinee and a special “Ice Cream Sunday” promotion featuring Sub-Zero Ice Cream. And after the final out of the game, kids are invited to run the bases and meet the players.
Off the field, fans will find a wide selection of local food and drink options at the park. Aerobic Geisha Coffee is a new addition this season, offering iced drinks and a HarbourCats-themed special. Returning vendors include Greek on the Street, Beavertails, Cup-A-Roni, L’Authentique Burgers and Poutine, Domino’s Pizza, and others.
This year also brings a switch to Pepsi as the stadium’s soft drink provider.
For those in premium seating areas, mobile food ordering is available through the Fan Food app, with access to most concession stands and food trucks.
With baseball, skydivers, fireworks, and plenty of local food, the weekend promises a lively start to the HarbourCats’ home schedule.
