Woohoo, it’s Thursday, Victoria!

And what an exciting one it’ll be—from a Pride Makers Market and whisky tasting, to a free Zumba class and more.

Plus, if you find yourself in Sooke tomorrow, don’t forget about their Thursday Night Market series that’s on until August 28th!

For all of this and more, here’s 5 things to do in and around Victoria on Thursday, June 19th:

Pride Makers Market

For those on UVic campus, or planning on visiting, there’s a Pride Makers Market just outside of the Student Union Building (SUB)!

They’ll have a wonderful variety of local vendors, and will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Bring your pals and see if you can find something new and unique!

Free Zumba Class

As a part of CityVibe’s free summer concerts and activities, they’re offering a free Zumba class this Thursday!

Taught by Isabel Arias Santos, this all-ages Latin dance-inspired fitness class is a great way to get moving and have fun while you do it.

It’ll take place at the Cameron Bandshell.

Community Film Screening of “Join or Die”

Join the Fernwood Community and Arts Association for a special screening of film, Join or Die at the Paul Phillips Hall!

There will be a fireside chat afterwards with local community builders, Ashley Kiptoo with Play Streets, John O’Brien with Oaklands Rise, Carrie Parsons with Meet a Stranger & Open to Conversation.

It’s free, but you can reserve your spot via Eventbrite.

Whisky Folk Showcase: Signatory Edition

The Sticky Wicket is inviting the community to be a a part of Whisky Folk history, as they launch their new partnership with Signatory, a Scottish independent bottler!

Guests will be able to try eight new releases, many of which are exclusive to The Strath. Those at the tasting will get first dibs on buying bottles.

Tickets are $40 per person, and can be purchased online.

The Sooke Night Market

The Sooke Night Market has returned for its 12th season, and is located at the Sooke Region Museum grounds!

It will take place every Thursday evening until August 28th, and features local food growers, creative makers, producers and more.

Eat, enjoy live performances, shop local and connect with loved ones!
