Toy lovers, collectors, hobbyists, and curious onlookers, you won’t want to miss this!
Saanich’s Pearkes Arena will once again be transformed into a nostalgic wonderland as Victoria’s Ultimate Hobby & Toy Fair returns for its beloved bi-annual showcase of all things collectible and fun.
It’ll be a weekend-long event, starting on Saturday, May 24th, and going through until the end of the day on Sunday, May 25th.
Collectors and toy enthusiasts from across BC flock to the event, which has become a must-visit for anyone hunting for rare finds, childhood throwbacks, and hidden gems since its launch in 2007.
With over 200 tables packed with everything from Pokémon cards and vinyl records to action figures, model kits, diecast vehicles, and beyond, there’s something here for every kind of hobbyist!
Beyond the tables of collectibles, the Toy Fair will feature local food vendors, eye-popping balloon art, and stunning LEGO displays, courtesy of VicLUG.
Door prizes will be given out every half hour, and the 501st Outer Rim Garrison will be on-site in their iconic Star Wars costumes once again, raising funds for the Victoria Hospitals Foundation by posing for photos.
“This event really brings out the sparkle in people’s eyes! We love seeing everyone’s smiling faces, the shared stories of nostalgia and hearing what they have found,” said Candice Woodward, co-promoter and organizer of the event.
“We also get to give back to the community and raise money for local charities, which is really important to us. It’s just such a great weekend.”
There’s also a silent auction taking place to support BC Children’s Hospital and the MS Society of BC, adding another layer of meaning to the weekend!
Over the years, the Ultimate Toy Fair has raised more than $70,000 for local charities, a testament to the generosity of both the organizers and the community that supports it.
General admission is $5 a day, or $10 for the weekend-long wristband pass. Children 12-years-old and younger can get in for free with the supervision of an adult.
