Share

A vibrant celebration of love, inclusivity and community spirit returns to Sidney this June!

You won’t want to miss this year’s Sidney Pride Festival, taking place on Friday, June 13th and Saturday, June 14th with a multitude of events taking over local hotspots in Sidney.

The celebration kicks off on Friday night with the highly anticipated PRIDE Night Roller Disco at the Mary Winspear Centre from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

It’s an all-ages event and invites participants to lace up and groove under the lights, though skaters must be at least seven years old.

Tickets and skate rentals are available through the Mary Winspear Centre.

The main event takes place on Saturday at the Beacon Band Shell along Sidney’s picturesque waterfront, where the Sidney Pride Festival runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Expect a lineup of live performances, from dynamic drag shows and soulful singers to moving spoken word poetry.

Plus, there will be a special dog area offering photo ops and treats for your four-legged friends, a Buddies play area that will keep the little ones busy, the Bubble Guy and drag story time.

In addition to the entertainment, Sidney Scones, Churros and Mor and Hot Dog Hustlin will also be on site, so come hungry!

As the sun sets, keep the celebration going at Small Gods Brewing, where CHEERS FOR QUEERS takes over from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

There’ll be a costume contest and DJ Black Tux spinning multi-decade hits. It’s the perfect way to wrap up a weekend of festivities and show your support for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

Come out, bring your pride, and let’s make this a weekend to remember!
