The long and painful search for Kielan Hall has come to a tragic end.
On Wednesday, May 14th, police discovered Hall’s remains during the execution of a search warrant at a home within a mobile home park on Songhees Reserve lands.
The warrant was initially issued in connection with a drug trafficking investigation.
Upon locating human remains at the property, investigators obtained and executed a second search warrant.
Those remains have since been confirmed to be Hall, who was reported missing in March 2024 after last being seen walking near Cooper Road in Esquimalt.
The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit (VIIMCU) has now taken over the investigation and is working to determine the circumstances surrounding Hall’s death.
At this time, police have not released further details, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation.
