Beacon Hill Children’s Farm is throwing a big birthday bash for its 40th anniversary

Victoria’s favourite little farm in the city is turning 40!

On Thursday, June 12th, Beacon Hill Children’s Farm will celebrate four decades of being a place where families, animal lovers, and curious little ones come to connect with farm life right in the heart of Victoria.

Over the years, the Koenders family, the Beacon Hill Farm Society, staff, volunteers, and the community have helped shape it into the beloved space it is today.

The anniversary celebration promises a full day of fun, from scavenger hunts and stamp books to colouring pages, storytime, photo displays, and animal talks.

There’ll even be free anniversary stickers and shirts for kids and youth.

And yes, the iconic goat stampede is still on, not once, but twice! Catch it at 10:10 a.m. and again for a special anniversary run at 5:10 p.m.

Owner-operators Lynda and Dennis Koenders will say a few words at 11 a.m., and the farm is encouraging everyone to swing by then too.

A full schedule of the day’s festivities is available on their website.
