Cinco de Mayo Weekend
In anticipation of Cinco de Mayo coming up, Category 12 Brewing is hosting a weekend-long celebration!
They’ll be releasing their much-anticipated seasonal release of our Mexican Lime Lager and assorted Mexican menu items from the kitchen.

The Peninsula Singers: Star Power Series
The Peninsula Singers are thrilled to present their spring concert, “Star Power” this weekend!
The showings kicked off on Friday, May 2nd and will run until Sunday, May 4th in the Charlie White Theatre.
The choir promises an exciting and entertaining musical variety show with a selection of chart-topping hits from many of the most famous recording artists of all time.
Whether you’re a fan of award-winning pop, rock, Broadway, country, or soul music, this concert has got you covered!
Tickets are $39 for adults and $20 for children.

Victoria Market Collective’s Spring Fling Artisan Market & Workshops
Head to the Bay Centre this Saturday, May 3rd from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the Victoria Market Collective’s Spring Fling Artisan Market & Workshops—a fun-filled day of shopping, crafting, and celebrating all things for the mother figure in your life.
This family-friendly event features over 30 local vendors and artisans, offering everything from handmade jewelry and art to sweet treats and one-of-a-kind gifts.
Plus, the first 100 attendees will receive a free spring bouquet courtesy of the Bay Centre and Brown’s the Florist (must be 19+, in-person only, distribution starts at 10 a.m. on Level 2).

Spring into Motown
The Sweet Soul Choir will be performing their ‘Spring into Motown’ show this Saturday!
Led by director Checo Tohomaso, they perform a mix of Motown, Soul, R&B, Soul Gospel and more. They also incorporate choreography, adding an extra sprinkle of fun.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online, or in person at Christian Book & Music Store in Nanaimo or Munro’s Books. Children under 10-years-old get in free!

LEGO Mother’s Day Kids’ Event
Indigo Books in Mayfair Shopping Centre is hosting a special kids’ event for Mother’s Day!
LEGO Make-and-Take provides guests the opportunity to join in on storytime and then build their own unique LEGO creation and take them home as a special keepsake.
Space is limited, so reservations are required. There’s a $5 reservation fee, but upon arrival it will be reimbursed in the form of an Indigo gift card.

Sing OUT! Voices in Motion Choir in Concert
Check out the Voices in Motion Choir in concert this Saturday!
They’ll be singing the songs of Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell, while adding a special flare that’s unique to the group.
Their special guests will be the EMERGE Youth Choir, part of the SingYourJoy Family of Choirs.
Admission is by donation, with a suggested amount of $20.

Presented by Groove Studios, the Victoria Drum Festival showcases drumming talent and offers workshops for all levels.

One Man Star Wars Trilogy
For one day only, Charles Ross will return with his internationally celebrated One Man Star Wars Trilogy, offering an unforgettable night of galactic adventure and hilarious nostalgia.
The show will take place on none other than Sunday, May 4th, at the beautiful St. Ann’s Academy and Auditorium National Historic Site (835 Humboldt Street), with a special afternoon matinee performance.
Ross condenses the original trilogy into a 75-minute whirlwind, complete with spot-on voice impressions, iconic music, battle scenes, and a whole lot of laughs. It’s a show that’s won over the likes of Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Conan O’Brien, and even George Lucas himself.
