Rifflandia has gotten cryptic over the past month, deleting all photos on their Instagram, aside from one post with a golden rendition of its iconic cherries logo.
However, early this morning, the festival made another post announcing that Thursday is back on the menu for festival-goers, and the festival will once again be four days long.
This year the festival will be from Thursday, September 11th to Sunday, September 14th.

For the last two years, Rifflandia has abandoned the Thursday, four day format to experiment with different ways of presenting the festival.
Last year, the festival took place at only the Phillips Backyard and the Matulia Lands in Rock Bay in a format of three days of music.
In years’ prior, Rifflandia would take place both in the Matulia Lands/Phillips Backyard, as well as Royal Athletic Park for their more family-friendly, daytime shows.
For instance in 2023, Rifflandia chose to put the festival on over two weekends, one being entirely in Royal Athletic Park and the other being in Phillips Backyard and surrounding area. This was an experiment in a six-day format for the festival that was tried out and abandoned.
However, Rifflandia is known for its experimentation and growth. The festival started with humble roots in 2008, by producer and founder Nick Blasko and his production company Atomique Productions.
In its earliest days, Rifflandia would be comprised of more localized bands with some popular groups being flown in, and was spread across the city’s various venues at the time.
Rifflandia is the city’s longest-running festival, and music lovers of Victoria will be watching their social media channels keenly for a taste of what is to come this year with the return of a four-day format.
The festival has not released their 2025 lineup as of yet but stay tuned!
