Popular local theatre company, Atomic Vaudeville (AV), announces their spring cabaret!
Kicking off on Thursday, March 6th and running until Sunday, March 10th, We Three Feminists will take place at Metro Studio Theatre.
Promised to be an enthralling show in classic AV fashion, it will feature a signature blend of comedy, clown, social satire, and high-energy dance numbers.
The story follows three YouTubers who join forces and embark on a quest to become feminist.
For those who are unfamiliar, AV is a non-profit collective of writers, performers, artists and musicians that are supported by a leadership team.
They wish to bring audiences performances that integrate all aspects of the above mediums to create exciting, top-notch experiences.

For 20 years, AV performed at Victoria Event Centre (VEC), but following the venue’s closure last year, AV (along with many other performance-based groups and individuals) have found themselves unable to find a permanent home for their material.
AV Co-Leader Britt Small mentioned that they were able to use Fellowship Hall for last Halloween’s show CRONE-O-PHOBIA.
However, the company had to build and dismantle their stage, bar and front of house setup after each performance because of the space’s usage for Pickleball, making it unsustainable for long term use.
“It’s a challenging time for the arts in Victoria. Spaces are closing at an alarming rate…We’re grateful to have found a temporary home at the Metro, where we produced Rocky Horror for many years,” added Small.
“Our cabarets have specific needs so we’ll be adapting the space by adding cabaret tables, bringing in a stage, and rejigging the lighting—all of which increases already high rental costs. It’s hard out here.”
Small underlines the importance of support for local live performances, as it is a huge part of the arts backbone in Victoria.
Since their inception in 2004, AV has worked with more than 400 local and visiting artists, including artists like JIMBO the Drag Clown (RuPaul’s Drag Race), Ingrid Hansen (Jim Henson Company puppeteer), and Shirley Gnome (Juno Award nominee).
They’ve created a network of artists across the country, underlining their integral part in the city’s culture and beyond.
