The much-anticipated 2025 Canadian Premier League (CPL) season is almost here, and Pacific FC will kick it off with a thrilling home opener in early April.
On Saturday, April 5th at 4 p.m., the Tridents will take on Valour FC at Starlight Stadium—a match that’s a part of a triple header (three consecutive games).
In a recent media release, Paul Beirne, the Managing Director of Pacific FC, shared his excitement about the upcoming season.
“We look forward to welcoming our fans back to Starlight Stadium for another action-packed season of professional football on Vancouver Island,” Beirne said.
“We invite everyone to come and experience the magic of opening day.”
Fans can expect an electric atmosphere as Pacific FC looks to build on their strong history against Valour FC!
As described, out of their 22 matches against Valour FC, Pacific holds 16 wins, four draws, and just two losses, setting the stage for what could be another victory on home turf.
The 2025 season will feature an impressive roster, including fan favourites like Josh Heard, Sean Young, and Sean Melvin—all ready to give their best for another memorable year.
Returning players include Marco Bustos and Kadin Chung, who were both integral members of the 2021 Pacific FC CPL Championship squad.
2025 consists of a 112-match regular season, with the finale set for November. All of the matches will be broadcasted live on OneSoccer.
As of February 10th, the full roaster includes the following:
- Goalkeepers: Emil Gazdov and Sean Melvin
- Defenders: Christian Greco-Taylor, Aly Ndom, Juan Quintana, Kadin Chung, Georges Mukumbilwa and Eric Lajeunesse
- Midfielders: Sean Young, Sami Keshavarz, Aidan Daniels, Daniel de Pauli, Lukas Browning Lagerfeldt and Matteo Schiavoni
- Forwards: Dario Zanatta, Josh Heard, Ronan Kratt and Marco Bustos
