Oak Bay Police are seeking the public’s help to locate a hit-and-run suspect from an incident that occurred last week.
The incident occurred at around 11:51 a.m. on Thursday, February 6th, and was reported the following day. Police say they received a report that a parked vehicle in the 2400 block of Beach Drive had been sideswiped.
Video footage obtained by Victoria Buzz shows the vehicle coming to a stop after hitting the parked car.
A neighbour who was awake at the time of the collision looked out his window and saw the woman involved. He described her as having long blonde hair, a slender build, and wearing a dark long coat with a scarf. The vehicle was identified as a white SUV, model year 2018 or newer.
The vehicle sustained significant damage, including a broken side-view mirror.
A nearby resident was able to provide surveillance footage of the incident, confirming that the incident occurred at around 5:15 a.m. that morning.
Investigators are currently working to identify the vehicle involved, and no other details have been provided at this time.
