The first full and fluffy snowfall of the season has arrived, and it looks like it’ll be sticking around for a few days!

Whether your first instinct is to hibernate indoors or rush outside to play in the fresh powder, we wanted to take a second to appreciate the beauty that fresh snowfall has to offer.

Though it does come with its risks too (as I’m sure many of you are aware), and Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for parts of eastern Vancouver Island, including Duncan, Nanaimo, and the southern Gulf Islands, with up to 20 cm of snow expected.

So, if you’re heading out or up island, be prepared for changing conditions and stay safe out there!
