The Oak Bay Marina Group (OBMG) has sold its assets to the Vancouver-based company, Graham Clark Group.

OBMG has been a fixture of Vancouver Island for 62 years, and includes the Oak Bay Marina, North Saanich Marina, Ladysmith Marina and Pedder Bay RV Resort and Marina.

Additionally, the Graham Clark Group will be acquiring the OBMG boathouses and the Marina Dockside Eatery in Oak Bay.

The Graham Clark Group says that this acquisition solidifies them as a premier marine operator in British Columbia.

Their company began 113 years ago as a ferry operator, which grew to include Harbour Cruises, Coal Harbour Marina, Western Pacific Marine and the Vancouver Harbour Flight Centre—all of which Graham Clark Group oversees from its headquarters in downtown Vancouver.

“For me, this is deeply personal. I grew up in Oak Bay and have always admired the legacy of Oak Bay Marine Group,” said Graham Clarke, Owner of Graham Clarke Group.

“This acquisition is more than an expansion; it’s about honouring a business that has meant so much to the community. Our goal is to preserve what makes OBMG special while building exciting new opportunities for the future.”

Brook Castelsky, CEO of Oak Bay Marine Group, says the two companies are aligned in wanting to provide unique experiences in marine environments.

“When Bob Wright founded OBMG, his vision was to connect people with the beauty of our coastal environment and create unforgettable experiences on the water,” said Castelsky.

“Graham Clarke Group shares that same vision. This partnership ensures OBMG’s legacy will carry on while we continue to serve the communities and customers who have supported us over the years.”

This announcement did not share if any changes would be coming to the properties previously owned by OBMG, but did say that the Graham Clark Group would be aiming to make the transition as seamless as possible.

The cost of this acquisition was not disclosed by either the OBMG or the Graham Clark Group.
