Victoria has officially been crowned Canada’s sexiest city, according to PinkCherry’s newly released rankings for 2025.

The annual list, based on per capita sales data from January 1st to December 31st of last year, highlights the nation’s most passionate locales, and this year, Victoria topped the charts.

The rankings, showcased in PinkCherry’s interactive “Canada’s Sexiest Cities” map, revealed that the capital of British Columbia is not just known for its coastal charm but also for its embrace of sexual wellness

Victoria displaced Calgary, AB, which held the title for the past two years and now sits in second place. Edmonton, AB, Ottawa, ON, and Winnipeg, MB, round out the top five.

PinkCherry’s report also offered insights into Canadians’ unique preferences in sexual wellness products:

  • Calgary, AB: Leading in the purchase of larger-sized toys
  • Montréal, QC: Favouring the largest average dildo sizes
  • Toronto, ON: Topping the list for anal toy purchases
  • Regina, SK: Buying the most solo toys
  • Vancouver, BC: Leading in purchases of Clone-a-Willy/Pussy kits

Overall, PinkCherry shoppers across Canada purchased a combined total of 10,397,775 inches of products in 2024—a length equivalent to 477 CN Towers or 6.5 trips around the Earth.

Victoria wasn’t the only Vancouver Island locale to earn recognition. Sooke and Courtenay were named among Canada’s top 10 sexiest towns, further underscoring the island’s reputation as a hub for romantic energy.

Victoria’s spicy streak is highlighted by some fun facts about its preferences:

  • Favourite Lube Flavour: Strawberry
  • Favourite BDSM Accessory: Handcuffs
  • Favourite Anal Toy: Butt Plugs

Not every West Shore community shared in Victoria’s glory.

Colwood, once a strong contender in the combined city-and-town rankings, has fallen dramatically to 301st place out of 365 locations. However, there’s good news for nearby Sooke, which snuggled into fifth place on the towns list.

This list highlights towns with populations under 300,000 that had the most sex toy sales per person. Sooke shares the top 10 honours with fellow Vancouver Island town Courtenay, which landed in sixth place. The full top 10 towns list includes:

  1. Pembroke, Ontario
  2. Petawawa, Ontario
  3. Cold Lake, Alberta
  4. Prince Rupert, BC
  5. Sooke, BC
  6. Courtenay, BC
  7. Whitehorse, Yukon
