Oak Bay Police have arrested a 66-year-old man following an assault which saw two victims injured.
Police say that on Wednesday, November 27th, officers responded to a call regarding an assault in the 1700-block of Elgin Road.
There, officers report finding one man who had suffered several blows to the back of the head, and another who had been thrown to the ground and kicked in the head.
The second victim who had been kicked in the head was transported to hospital by paramedics for treatment.
According to Oak Bay Police, the 66-year-old suspect of the assault was known to both victims.
Following the incident, he was located and arrested by police. He was then released with a court date and several conditions, including zero contact with the two victims.
Police say the extent of the victims’ injuries is currently unknown; however, their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
