A Duncan couple are celebrating a life-changing win!
Gail and Thomas Hewitt couldn’t believe their luck upon discovering they won $1 million in the November 19th Lotto Max draw.
Gail told BCLC that she bought her winning ticket at Walmart on Drinkwater Road in Duncan, which is where they got it checked and were given the surreal news!
“My brain was numb, I was excited!” Thomas said.
The first call they made after the win was to their daughter. The Hewitts were eager to share their big news with family, and their joy was clearly contagious.
The Hewitts plan to treat themselves to a new car and give their kitchen a much-needed renovation.
As for how it feels to win, Gail summed it up simply by saying that it’s all “very exciting.”
