Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated Eras Tour stop in Vancouver this weekend is creating a buzz across the province, with a significant wave of Victorians planning trips to the mainland for the event.
To meet the heightened demand, BC Transit has followed BC Ferries’ lead and announced additional services, ensuring fans can reach the ferry terminal.

To ensure fans can get to and from Vancouver for the concerts on Friday, December 6th, and Sunday, December 8th, BC Transit is adding special early morning and late-night trips on Route 70 between downtown Victoria and Swartz Bay.
Here are the special Route 70 trips to meet the added BC Ferries sailings:
- Friday, December 6th:
- Departs Legislature Exchange at 3:53 a.m. and arrives at Swartz Bay terminal at 4:40 a.m. (meets the 5 a.m. departure from Swartz Bay)
- Departs Swartz Bay terminal at 12:40 a.m. and arrives at Legislature Exchange at 1:41 a.m. on December 7th (meets the December 6th 11 p.m. departure from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay)
- Monday, December 9th:
- Departs Swartz Bay terminal at 2:55 a.m. and arrives at Legislature Exchange at 3:41 a.m. (meets the 1 a.m. departure from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay)
- Friday, December 6th
- Departs Swartz Bay terminal at 6:57 a.m. (meets the 5 a.m. departure from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay)
- Arrives at Swartz Bay terminal at 10:42 p.m. (meets the 11 p.m. departure from Swartz Bay)
- Sunday, December 8th
- Arrives at Swartz Bay terminal at 10:45 p.m. (meets the 11 p.m. departure from Swartz Bay)
BC Ferries is also adding late-night and early-morning sailings to accommodate the influx of Taylor Swift fans heading to Vancouver. In addition to the concert, a Vancouver Canucks game is scheduled for Friday night, prompting BC Ferries to prepare for a significant spike in passengers.
For those living mid-island, Hullo will also run extra passenger sailings from downtown Vancouver back to Nanaimo Harbour at midnight and 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
More than 150,000 fans are expected to attend Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concerts at BC Place over three shows from Friday to Sunday.
