VicPD has confirmed that 30-year-old Colin Monkman, who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant, was arrested after being recognized by a community member.
The individual spotted him travelling on BC Ferries after seeing the alert published earlier today.
Delta Police arrested Monkman upon his arrival at the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal.

VicPD are seeking the public’s help in locating a 30-year-old man wanted on a Canada-wide search warrant.
Colin Monkman is wanted for failing to abide by his release conditions, and is currently serving a sentence for several weapon-related convictions, assault, and violating conditions of a peace bond.
According to investigators, he is believed to be in Victoria and is known to frequent the downtown core, Victoria West and Burnside area.
Monkman is described as standing at 5’6” tall, with a medium build, black hair, medium complexion and brown eyes.
He has noticeable face and neck tattoos, including a tear drop under his right eye and the letter “M” under his left eye.
Monkman was last seen in downtown Victoria wearing a red T-shirt, black pants, black hoodie, black jacket and brown shoes.
