Nanaimo RCMP are seeking the public’s help in locating a wanted 31-year-old man.
David Thomas is wanted for assault with a weapon and for unlawfully entering a house.
These charges stem from an incident that took place in June of 2020, in which he entered a north Nanaimo home, sprayed an occupant of the house with bear spray and then fled.
“Although this incident occurred over 4 years ago, investigators are still searching for Thomas and have reason to believe that he is in the Nanaimo area,” said R/Cst Gary O’Brien of the Nanaimo RCMP.
Thomas is described as an Indigenous man, standing at 5’7” tall, weighing 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
The photo that police provided is said to be dated.
