1939 at The Belfry Theatre
The Belfry welcomes audiences to 1939, a play full of empathy and humour.
Audiences will step back into 1939, the year of King George’s first Royal Tour of Canada, and rumour has it that a Residential School in Northern Ontario is on the itinerary.
As the Welsh English-teacher rehearses her students for a performance of All’s Well That Ends Well for the King, the Indigenous actors discover surprising parallels between their various cultures and Shakespeare’s script—and set out to make his bittersweet comedy their own.

Head downtown to Market Square and get your fix of fashion, houseware items and furniture at the Under the Magnolia Pop-Up!

Murdoch Mysteries in Concert
The Royal Theatre is hosting a special behind-the-scenes look at how the music for CBC’s hit TV series Murdoch Mysteries is made!
This musical journey will take audiences through the themes composed for the show, and well-known symphonic works associated with the setting.
Come together and watch episode “Murder in F Major” and watch the orchestra perform the stunning soundtrack live!

Charity Pumpkin Smash
Don’t miss the Westshore Town Centre and Langford Fire Rescue’s annual Charity Pumpkin Smash—a family-friendly, free event full of festive excitement.
Bring your leftover jack-o-lanterns to the Westshore Town Centre Cineplex parking lot and watch as Langford Fire Rescue smashes them to bits by dropping them from their towering 100-foot fire engine ladder.
All proceeds from pumpkin smash donations will go directly to the BC Professional Firefighters Burn Fund, supporting burn survivors and fire prevention programs across the province.
Volunteers from the Westshore Town Centre Tim Hortons will also be serving hot chocolate and coffee at the event, available by donation.

Fall Fling Market
The Bay Centre is hosting the Fall Fling Local & Handmade Artisan Market by the Market Collective on Saturday, November 2nd from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
With 32 incredible #yyj small businesses, this event will help you feel inspired as we launch into winter and the festive holiday season!
Not only is the event free admission, but market-goers can also enjoy 1-hour free parking in the Bay Centre’s underground parkade.

CRONE-O-PHOBIA
Taking place at the First Met Fellowship Hall for the first time, AV presents CRONE-O-PHOBIA—the 88th installment of the Vaudeville Series and running from Thursday, October 24th to Saturday, November 2nd on select days.
CRONE-O-PHOBIA features Wyrd Sisters Kelly Hobson and Amanda Butler and brings audiences on a journey to the Crone Zone with plenty of cats, tradwives and a bucket of pig’s blood.
Tickets for the preview on Thursday, October 24th are $28, and the remaining dates are priced at $35.

Halloween Dance Fundraiser in Metchosin
Join the hard workers of Metchosin Preschool at the Metchosin Hall for their annual Halloween dance!
Featuring the Kooler band, there will be plenty of dance party fun, prizes, food, a silent auction, 50/50, door prizes and more.

Adonis Puentes & The Jazz Bohemians
Hermann’s Jazz Club is hosting a special evening of jazzy, traditional, and contemporary Cuban Music.
Welcome Juno & Grammy Nominated vocalist, Adonis Puentes, who will be joined by the Jazz Bohemians, featuring Brent Jarvis (piano), Scott White (bass), Brooke Maxwell (Tenor Sax), and Nicholas Marquez (percussion).

Russell Peters: RELAX* *It’s Not That Serious
One of Canada’s most well-known comedians Russell Peters is set to grace the stage of the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre once again, marking his return to Victoria after his last appearance in 2022.

Victoria Royals vs. Saskatoon Blades
Bring your family and friends, grab yourself a beverage or two and a bite to eat and get ready to cheer on your local WHL hockey team, the Victoria Royals, as they play the Saskatoon Blades!
Plus, it’s their Canadian Armed Forces Appreciation Game and fans will have the opportunity to join the Royals players for a post-game skate, a memorable experience for families to connect with their favourite athletes—skate rental will be available.
Additionally, proceeds from the 50/50 raffle will go toward supporting the Esquimalt military community, while funds raised from the team’s jersey auction will benefit the Support Our Troops program, providing aid to local military families.

Small Gods Brewing: Storyteller Series
Join the crew at Small Gods Brewing for their final Storyteller Series.
This Sunday will feature Matthew Walsh, with the Sidney launch of Terrarium, as well as Ashley-Elizabeth Best’s launch of Bad Weather Mammals, and special guest, Michael Christie.
