Looking for the perfect excuse to finally put that absurd outfit on your pet?
The Emily Carr house is hosting their 4th annual ‘Howl-oween’ Pet Parade on Sunday, October 27th at 1 p.m., sponsored by the James Bay Veterinary Clinic.
The parade will take place in the gardens of the Carr House Museum and Creative Centre, and you can sign your pet up here!
“We’re excited to continue this tradition of hosting the Howl-oween Pet Parade, and we’re looking forward to another fun and exciting event this year,” says Maegen Sargent, Programming and Events Coordinator for Carr House.
“Emily Carr deeply loved animals, and my favourite photos of Emily Carr are those where she’s posing with her many dogs!”
Did we mention that there are prizes to be won?
There are a few categories you and your furry pal can place in, including best owner/pet combo costume, best scary costume, best Emily Carr related costume and best homemade costume.
Prizes will be given to 1st and 2nd place winners.
If you’d like to participate from home, you can send them a picture of your costume pet for the chance to win ‘best virtual costume’!
Check-in for registered pets will open at 12:15 p.m. and close at 12:50 p.m., with the parade starting at 1 p.m.
This event is open to all and registration is free!
Rain or shine, the show must go on—so dress accordingly!
“We’re hoping to see our community join us in some comical costumes to share in the festivities!”
