Here’s why you might see a bunch of witches paddling in Sooke this weekend

Share

You’ve heard of witches on brooms, but have you heard of them on paddle boards?

Now’s your chance to join their coven, as Witches in the Bay will be hosting its second annual ocean paddle this Saturday, October 12th.

Whether it’s a paddleboard, kayak or some other floatation device, everyone is welcome!

They’ll be launching from Billings Spit in Sooke.

Just dress up in your favourite witch or warlock attire and enjoy some mystical time on the water for as long as you’d like—they’ll be sticking around for sunset.

They encourage everyone to pack what is needed to feel comfortable, including weather-appropriate attire, propane fire pits, and favourite drinks and snacks.

Just be mindful of the public space and don’t forget a life jacket!

If you’re hoping to attend but don’t have a paddle board of your own, you can rent one for 25% off from Palli Palli Paddle with the discount code ‘Witches25%’.
