For many, Halloween isn’t just about winning best-dressed at a party, it’s also a race for best-dressed on the block!
Residents across Greater Victoria have taken it upon themselves to adorn their houses with all manors of scary things, including gravestones, cobwebs, goblins, skeletons, blood and caution tape.
If you know of a house that scared you out of your socks, or put you in the Halloween spirit, send Victoria Buzz a picture along with the address and we can add it to this list.
Here’s a list of Victoria’s best Halloween-dressed houses:
Terror on Tiswilde
This house is not only incredible to look at, it’s also immersive! Guests are welcome to wander through the display tents from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. every night.
Plus, there’s a big event happening on Saturday, October 26th, and you’re invited! 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. is kids hour with a magician, then from then until 10 p.m., the space turns into a full scare with actors in the tents.
Admission is by donation and proceeds go towards the BC Children’s Hospital.

A Nightmare On Barrow
Onlookers are welcome to come and walk through the Nightmare on Borrow graveyard and through their Carnevil!
They’re open every day until 10 p.m.
Friday, October 25th and Saturday, October 26th will also bring their special event, Carnival of Lost Souls. They’ll be collecting donations and food items for the Goldstream Food Bank!
