Fancy a comedy show, or a creative night out with friends crafting something with your own hands?

From sewing to beer education, here are 5 things to do in and around Victoria this Wednesday, September 11th:

Comedy Night at The Mint

Who’s ready for a night of belly laughs?!

Nothing says ‘hump day’ like some Wednesday night comedy, and the Mint is where it’s at.

Brew School at Vessel Liquor Store

Join Ben at Vessel Liquor Store for an educational and fun evening of Brew School.

Exploring the intersections of beer and wine, cider, and cocktails, in this class you’ll be tasting beers that taking inspiration from their neighbouring beverage categories by incorporating unconventional ingredients.

These experimental styles are full of intrigue, often challenging the notion of what exactly makes a beer, and at what point does it become a hybrid, or something else entirely?

Build Night at BC Hobbies

Bring a kit to work on or snag one at BC Hobbies—then hang out while you build! Build Night has limited seating, and it’s first come, first seat.

This build night will be hosted by Graham and Chris F, and you can find more info online.

It’s a free event for build-lovers aged 10 and older.

Sewing Drop-In at the Community Arts Hub

Got a sewing project you’ve started and now you’re stuck? Need some inspiration to pick up that old project? This is the space for you!

The Community Arts Hub will host expert sewing volunteers available to lend a helping hand with all your sewing project questions.

There is a suggested donation of $5 for access to the space, sewing supplies and volunteer’s expert advice.

The event is BYO sewing machine and notions if you are able. They do have one Brother Sewing machine and one 4 Thread Serger available for use, but the more machines the better! There is also a Brother NQ1700E embroidery machine, some notions, an ironing board and an iron available for use.

Sixty Watt Trivia at Monkey Tree Pub

Join The Monkey Tree Pub for 2.5 hrs of complete trivia randomness!

They tackle everything under the moon from Eminem song lyrics, to the Periodic Table to Jean Claude Van Damme films.

If you think are packing a cranium of what seems like useless knowledge, grab some friends and come see if you can take the pub in a battle of wits and wisdom!

Teams of 8 max are welcome.
