Who’s ready for the magnificence, the glitter and the shine?
The popular annual Oak Bay Collector Car Festival is returning for its 24th year on Sunday, July 21st, where attendees will be greeted by over 300 unique cars!
Starting bright and early at 10 a.m., visitors can walk along sections along blocks of Oak
Bay Avenue, Monterey to Mitchell Street plus portions of Hampshire Road and Elgin Street to view the extensive lineup of collectors and vintage cars.
This year marks the first festival being held in the absence of its founder, Ken Agate, who passed away in September.
It all began in 1999, when he combined his love of cars and his passion for the community and held the first Oak Bay Collector Car Festival.
In his honour, his beloved 1938 Dodge Deluxe Touring Sedan with a commemorative dash plaque will be displayed at the Municipal Hall.

In addition to checking out the gorgeous vehicles, the surrounding businesses will remain open for exploration and purchases, and there will be a food court in the Municipal Hall parking lot.
The food court will feature food trucks with hot dogs, ice cream, mini donuts and more!
This event is free to attend—just bring your wonderful self and dress for the weather.
If you plan on biking to the event, the festival is now offering free bike parking at two supervised bike corrals. One located below the Monterey Recreation Centre off Hampshire Road and the other behind Oak Bay Bikes at Foul Bay Road.
Drivers who wish to have their collector and vintage car displays can register online for $25 or $30 the morning of the event—subject to space availability.
Plus, prizes will be awarded to a few of the entrants across several categories!
