When it comes to summer activities, you can’t get much better than artisanal beer and delectable eats!
The Drake Eatery, in celebration of their 10th anniversary and in collaboration with Craft Beer Parlour, is welcoming the return of the Thirsty Chef festival.
Thirsty Chef is a beer and food extravaganza that brings together a variety of phenomenal brewers and prestigious chefs for a unique West Coast food and craft beer experience!
It’s set to take place at the historic Market Square on Saturday, August 3rd from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., transforming the space into a thrumming and lively atmosphere you won’t want to miss out on.
The festival will feature a dozen taster stations—each highlighting a local chef paired with a brewery partner!
“Guests will have the opportunity to savour exquisite dishes and outstanding beer, delighting their palates with a rich variety of combinations and pairings,” a media release reads.
Some of the featured chefs are from Cafe Brio, The Courtney Room, The Drake Eatery, Dumpling Drop, Hide N Seek and more.
Breweries and meaderies include Category 12, Herald Street Brew Works, Small Gods, Brassneck, Four Winds, Humblebee Meadery, Powell, Strange Fellows and many others!
Plus, a roster of talented local musicians such as DJ Bellyfish, Peter McMaster, Frolickers and more will perform live at the event, setting the perfect tone for the summer afternoon!
Since Thirsty Chef’s inception, they have served as a fundraising platform for important community causes, and this year is no exception.
A portion of the proceeds from this year’s event will go towards the Victoria Cool Aid Society—an organization dedicated to providing valuable services to marginalized individuals.
Tickets for the festival are $50 and can be purchased at The Drake Eatery or online via Eventbrite.
Each ticket includes all of the food and a commemorative beer glass!
