Hotel Zed Tofino is thrilled to welcome guests and the local community back for their second Tofino Pride event from Saturday, June 22nd to Sunday, June 23rd.
To mark the occasion, they’ll be hosting Tofino’s first-ever drag brunch on Sunday with performers from Canada’s Drag Race!
Additionally, there will be plenty of live music to enjoy and a queer makers’ market to shop at—treat yourself or a loved one and support a local creator.
The festivities will kick off on Saturday with Tofino’s annual Pride Parade starting at 3:30 p.m. at Beaches Groceries.
Pride-goers will walk together along the multi-use path towards Hotel Zed for a free party with live music, a drag show, the local 2SLGBTQI+ artisan vendor village and food and drink specials until 7 p.m.
“All rebels are invited to our march and our free community party to celebrate all kinds of love and all kinds of humans,” said Mandy Farmer, CEO of Hotel Zed, Accent Inns and ROAR.
“Hotel Zed is proud to host Tofino’s second annual Pride celebrations and show our unwavering support for the 2SLGBTQI+ community all year long.”
Then, on Sunday from 11 a.m., the first-ever drag brunch will commence, held at Hotel Zed’s ROAR restaurant.
Guests will be treated to a scrumptious brunch menu and Pride-inspired cocktails, all the while being dazzled by iconic musical and comedic performances by the legends of Canada’s Drag Race.
Featured drag artists include Vivian Vanderpuss and Ilona Verley alongside Victoria’s drag celebrity, Woofie.
