Saturday night fireworks are set to make a dazzling return to Butchart Gardens after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Visitors can once again gather with friends and family on Saturday evenings in July and August (plus one day in September) to witness the spectacular displays.
Butchart Gardens, located in Brentwood Bay, is renowned for its stunning floral displays and enchanting atmosphere. The fireworks show, choreographed to music and designed by Christopher Ross, the great-grandson of Jennie Butchart, adds an extra touch of magic to this picturesque setting.
Access to the fireworks and subsequent events are included in general admission. So you can explore the Gardens to your heart’s content before settling in for the show.
Those planning to stay for the Saturday night fireworks can bring their own blankets or lawn chairs early to ensure an amazing view of the show.
The show kicks off on Saturday, July 1st, at 10:15 pm, and continues throughout July and August on subsequent Saturdays, with each display commencing at slightly varying times.
The Butchart Gardens said they consulted with the Central Saanich Fire Department to ensure it was safe to go ahead with weekly fireworks, which may be cancelled due to extreme weather.

- July 8th at 10 p.m.
- July 15th at 10 p.m.
- July 22nd at 9:45 p.m.
- July 29th at 9:45 p.m.
- August 5th at 9:30 p.m.
- August 12th at 9:15 p.m.
- August 19th at 9:15 p.m.
- August 26th at 9 p.m.
- September 2nd at 8:45 p.m.

In addition to the fireworks, the Summer Series of evening entertainment begins June 30th and runs through September 2nd that will see 38 musical performances on Wednesday through Saturday evenings.
Kicking off the eclectic program on June 30th is Daniel Cook & The Radiators, serving up their tasty blend of indie folk, funk, and country music.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. In July, the Chris Millington Band taking the stage. In August, the Victoria Symphony will be making a grand return on August 3rd.
