An incident in Comox ended with one man injured following what police describe as a “serious assault.”

On Friday, January 13th, Comox Valley RCMP were called to a gas station in the 900-block of Aspen Road in Comox.

A man had allegedly assaulted the driver of a vehicle which had just been involved in a minor crash at that location.

“The driver of the vehicle sustained injuries and remains in hospital,” said Cst. Monika Terragni, Media Relations Officer, Comox Valley RCMP.

The alleged attacker was arrested for the assault.

“The investigation into this assault is continuing and updates may be provided as it develops.”

It is unclear whether the driver’s attacker was also involved in the collision.
