Oak Bay Police are seeking a suspect involved in a hit and run incident last week.
At approximately 7 a.m. on February 9th, a driver of an older model green Subaru Forester approached their car, parked in the 600 block of Beach Drive.
When they opened the driver side door, it was struck by a newer model, white, 4-door sedan, driving eastbound.
The vehicle did not stop and a licence plate was not obtained.
Officers responded to the call but the white sedan was not located.
The driver of the green Subaru was not injured, however the vehicle was not driveable and required a tow.
The incident caused approximately $3,000 in damages to the Subaru.
It is likely the passenger side front right quarter panel of the suspect’s vehicle would have sustained significant damage in the incident.
Anyone with information related to the hit and run is asked to contact Oak Bay Police at 250-592-2424.
