This Netflix hack lets you stream with your friends and chat at the same time

Netflix dates with your friends don’t have to be a thing of the past!

Though social distancing due to the coronavirus pandemic has many cooped up inside with not a whole lot of interaction, watching your favourite shows or movies with your friends could still be a reality, with this newly introduced Netflix hack.

The Google Chrome extension has gone viral, because it allows people to still have that movie night with friends – despite movie theatres and restaurants being closed across the globe help combat the spread of COVID-19.

The extension is called Netflix Party, and it allows multiple people to remotely watch a Netflix show or movie – while chatting at the same time!

Netflix Party isn’t an official Netflix product, but it is a free extension available for download on their website.

Once downloaded, all you need to do is choose a Netflix program, click the Netflix Party icon and then send friends their generated link so they can access it as well – it’s that easy!

According to their website, the extension “synchronizes video playback and adds group chat to your favourite Netflix shows.”

Now the only question is – who gets to pick what we’re going to watch?!
