RCMP investigating bank robbery at RBC bank in West Shore Town Centre

West Shore RCMP are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at West Shore Town Centre this afternoon.

At around 2:20 p.m. on Monday, police attended the Royal Bank of Canada branch located at West Shore Town Centre at 2945 Jacklin Road for reports of a robbery.

According to bank employees, an adult male produced a robbery note and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was not seen carrying a weapon.

Police are at the scene gathering evidence, and are in the process of carrying out their investigation of the incident.

Customers hoping to visit that particular RBC branch are being diverted to the Colwood branch at 1880 Island Highway as a result of the incident.
