Saanich police have released photos of an alleged bank robbery suspect at Tillicum Shopping Centre Wednesday afternoon.

The robbery took place at around 3 p.m. at the TD Canada Trust branch at 309 Burnside Road West.

The suspect is described as an approximately 50-year-old Caucasian man who stands around 5’5″ tall, and has a skinny build. It is possible he has a scar on the right side of face.

He was wearing a grey and green hoodie, blue jeans and a baseball hat.

While he was conducting the robbery, the bank’s dye pack deployed, causing him to have noticeable red dye on his hands, arms, face and clothing.

Police ask that the public avoid the immediate area while they conduct their investigation.

However anyone who sees someone matching the suspect’s description is urged to call 911 immediately.
