Victoria Police made a significant discovery last month when they arrested an alleged drug dealer.

VicPDā€™s Strike Force and Crime Reduction Unit received information about a man operating a “dial-a-dope” service involving several hand-to-hand drug transactions out of a residential building in the 700-block of Johnson Street.

After days of investigation and surveillance, officers executed a search warrant for the residence and two vehicles on March 21st.

During their search they discoveredĀ drugs, including heroin, fentanyl and cocaine, over $12,000 in cash, a body armour, a shotgun and ammunition.

In connection with these artifacts, officers arrested Brent Connors, a Victoria man, who is now facingĀ seven charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking, careless use or storage of a firearm, possession of a firearm without license and/or registration, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and for possession of body armour without a permit.

The court process is ongoing at this time.
