A 50-year-old man was seriously injured during a home invasion in Nanaimo on Wednesday.
Just before 2:30 am, police were called to a home on Nicol St, after receiving reports of shots fired and a home invasion.
The victim – a Nanaimo resident – was found seriously injured at the scene and was transported to hospital.
Police say the incident is targeted and the general public is not believed to be at risk.
