Share

Earlier this week, Nanaimo RCMP and search and rescue teams began searching for Faye Hanson – an elderly woman who went missing after going mushroom picking on Sunday, October 22nd.

73-year-old Hanson was reported missing by her friend, after which her truck was found on Monday near the intersection of Timberlands and Ninatti Roads, not far from Ladysmith.

A tragic end

According to CTV News, her body was found west of Ladysmith this afternoon.

The cause of death has not yet been confirmed – however foul play is not suspected by the RCMP.

The B.C. Coroner’s service is now conducting an investigation into what killed Faye Hanson.
