Talk about timing.
A young boy on a fishing boat had a perfect moment captured on film last month.
On a trip with Nootka Wilderness Adventures, a fishing charter in Nootka Sound got up close and personal with a humpback whale. Then, at the perfect moment, the huge marine mammal breached and the youngster looked at the camera.
Although the end result (above) is awesome, it took at least a couple of tries. The short video – complete with genuine shock-and-awe reactions – can be seen below.
