Eine Kleine Summer Music Chamber Music Festival

EKSM proudly presents the 31st Annual Chamber Music Festival, taking place at the First Unitarian Church of Victoria and Church & State Wines on Sunday 10th June to Monday July 2nd 2018, and featuring top chamber musicians from around the globe.
The festival kicks off on with a performance on June 10th by the Ariel String Quartet. Originally from Israel but now based in Cincinnati, these seasoned international touring musician’s concerts have been described by the Washington Post as “…blazing, larger-than-life…”
Star violinist and Victoria’s own Nikki Chooi will once again join us for concerts on June 17th and 18th. Nikki has just finished a stint as concertmaster at the New York Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.
June 24th and 25th sees the return of the highly talented Victoria quartet; the Muse Ensemble.
The festival wraps up July 1st and 2nd with performances by Stefan Jackiw, Conrad Tao and Jay Campbell, all highly regarded up-and-coming musicians that have joined forces to form the JCT (Junction) Trio. Stefan Jackiw was featured on the cover of the February 2018 edition of Strings magazine.
Afternoon performances are held at Unitarian Church of Victoria. Summer evening events can be enjoyed sipping a glass of wine at Church & State Wines near to Butchart Gardens. Tickets, which range in price from $30-$35 are on sale now, details can be found at www.eskm.ca.
EKSM is the longest-running summer Classical music event in greater Victoria.
EKSM is not-for-profit organization whose goal is to present world class chamber music concerts at affordable prices. Performances are by artists among the finest in BC as well as distinguished guests from around the world and held a country venues and winery on the Saanich Peninsula.
