If there’s one thing Victoria is known for, it’s the scenic inner harbour.

And to make the most of these gorgeous views, the Inn at Laurel Point will be renovating its entrance, lobby, arrival experience, and waterfront restaurant beginning next month.

The renovations and renewals are, in part, a fulfillment of the inn’s founders’ dreams for the hotel, the late Paul and Artie Arsens.

“It’s an absolute joy to help realize what the Arsens’ first envisioned with renowned architect Arthur Erickson, and designer Robert Ledingham, over thirty-years ago,” said Ian Powell, Managing Director of the Inn at Laurel Point, in a press release.

“I’m honoured to embark on this journey over the next six-months and am excited for the unveiling in the spring-2019.”

During the six-month renewal process, the hotel will have a temporary guest check in area, and on-site catering.

Construction will take place on weekdays from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Inn at Laurel Point has been ranked one of the top 25 hotels in Canada by the Condé Nast Traveler.

Fittingly, the architect for the renewal, John Graham, was also a junior architect of the inn’s Erickson Wing project in 1987.
