Victoria’s renowned Tally-Ho Horse Carriage Tours is offering a unique, behind-the-scenes experience this Mother’s Day weekend.
Guests can get up close and personal with the Tally-Ho draft horses at Hidden Acres Farm in Saanichton this Saturday May 11th.
Celebrating over 120 years of providing horse-drawn services in Victoria, Tally-Ho is honouring its stars, the horses, with an immersive farm experience.
Visitors will spend the morning with the beautiful draft horses, experiencing their playful and affectionate personalities.
The tour includes opportunities to meet the horses and learn about their unique characteristics and stories.
The Tally-Ho team will guide guests through a day in the life of the horses, sharing insights into their specialized diets, veterinary care, and the importance of hoof care.
Attendees will also witness a driving demonstration, showcasing the deep connection between the horses and their handlers.
The event offers a chance to learn about different draft horse breeds, some of which are listed as vulnerable to extinction by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust.
Tickets for the two-hour experience are priced at $20 for adults and $13 for seniors and children under 10, with a 10% discount on all merchandise or gift certificates purchased at the event.

Upon arrival, you will meet your draft horse and carriage driver. They’ll take a few photos before starting your adventure. This 35-40 minute country carriage ride highlights Central Saanich’s tranquil, rural farming community. Your horse and guide will share the area’s history as you pass rolling fields and ocean views.
