$60K worth of First Nation art stolen from Gordon Head home: Saanich Police

Saanich Police are investigating a theft which saw a home robbed of an art collection valued at around $60,000. 

The theft took place in a Gordon Head home on April 22nd.

According to police, in this collection were several pieces created by renowned Indigenous artist Calvin Morberg. 

In addition to these pieces were a number of Inuit soapstone carvings that were estimated to be over 60-years-old.
