The Victoria Royals are back in the playoffs and are set to take on the Portland Winterhawks in the first round this Easter long weekend.

It’ll be the first playoff action the Royals have seen since 2019-20 season.

The first two games of round 1 will take place in Portland on Friday March 29th and Saturday, March 30th.

While we would all love to be at the game itself to cheer the boys on, it’s quite the drive to Oregon. Thankfully, there are options for us to watch the game from afar, or we can also listen to the game.

The Victoria Royals will be hosting a watch party open to the public at the Six Mile Pub for both away games this weekend on Friday March 29th and Saturday, March 30th.

Make sure to reserve your spot ahead of time!

If you can’t make it to the watch party, CHL TV is available to viewers from every corner of the globe, so even if you’re on Spring Break vacation, you can still tune in and watch it.

You can access it on the CHL mobile app, as well as on Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire, or online at watch.chl.ca. You can download the free CHL app via the App Store and Google Play.

If you can watch the game but want to listen to it, make sure to tune into the Zone 91.3 to follow the game live!

Following the two road games, the series will head back to Victoria for games 3 and 4—game 5 will also take place in Victoria, but only if necessary.

The games in Victoria will take place on:

– Tuesday, April 2nd – grab tickets
– Wednesday, April 3rd – grab tickets
– Friday, April 5th (if necessary)

Again, if required, games 6 and 7 will take place back in Portland on:

– Sunday, April 7th
– Tuesday, April 9th

During the regular season, the Winterhawks took the series with a final tally of 0-2-1-1 versus the Royals.

That being said, three of those four matchups against Portland were played in late February/early March when the Royals were at the peak of their injury problems.

Tickets for Royals playoff games are now available, starting at just $16 – get yours here.
