Saanich police in search of pair suspected of stealing vintage motorcycle

Police are on the lookout for a man and woman suspected of multiple offences throughout the Saanich area, including theft of a rebuilt vintage motorcycle and breaking and entering.

The pair are suspected of stealing a rebuilt red 1979 Honda CB750 motorcycle belonging to Mike Nyberg. The theft occurred on either Aug. 10 or 11, according to a Facebook post from Nyberg.

On Monday, Aug. 13, a man driving what appears to be the same stolen motorcycle was spotted on a home surveillance camera during a break and enter near Royal Oak and Blenkinsop Road.

The stolen motorcycle was spotted again in James Bay on Wednesday. A witness managed to take a photo of a couple believed to be the suspects of the original theft.
