After months of construction work, locals will be happy to hear that the upgrades to Admirals Road between Hallowell Road and Maple Bank Road have now been completed.
As a result of the $6.5 million safety improvement project, a southbound left-turn lane has been built at See’Nu’Pin Road, and a new traffic signal has been installed at Maple Bank Road.
Additionally, Admirals Road is now wider, with a new curb, gutter and sidewalks, making it safer for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians alike.
The last bit of crew work before the sidewalk at the southwest corner of the intersection at Admirals and Maple Bank is complete involves the removal of one final hydro pole.
Originally slated for completion in 2017, the project encountered several delays due to additional archeological investigation assessments and related consultation with local First Nations.
